My perspective is that there were a whole slew of these, TMOZ was just the one that worked. Hollywood spent the 90s trying to recreate the success of BATMAN with all these pulp IPs, but they misunderstood their ingredients. TMOZ's legacy leads to the PIRATES movies more than, say, THE LONE RANGER
