Really one of the most striking things about games has been how the capital flows have been into these big dark pools that just don't want to make games. At least for awhile movie money at least went into studios that were kinda interested in making movies.

I think this is not a good model of how knowledge accumulates! Most of science is just confirming that what we thought should be true is true. This is extremely critical because otherwise we don't get to find out where our models are wrong

It takes so long to write a paper because we are crazy about not making mistakes and checking as many edge cases as we can. This stressful responsibility is, I suppose, not obvious. so, if you’re new to trying to publish, e aware of it!
