in fairness daniel comes back because his actor’s replacement on the show was hated by fans (unjustifiably!!) and daniel was given a more prominent role later where he basically decides “fuck you god, i’m cool and good and i want to help”
Show Postoh shit that’s just fuckin daniel jackson’s deal in stargate sg-1 wtf
Show PostThe end of Wesley's story arc is so crazy it's like "you can experience infinite self actualization across all of time and space, forever, if you promise to never, ever, ever intervene to help anyone, ever again." And the writers thought that was a good ending for him, and not like, actual hell.
Show Postpicard realising the time paradox and realising the infinite potential of the human experience to learn and grow and explore within ourselves is such a moving plot point made much funnier that 5 weeks ago his kinda-son became a time travelling super-god because he didn't like his job
