Today is the birthday of an old school friend of mine who passed away a few years ago now, his adult life plagued by addiction to drink & drugs. Both sad & surreal to continue ageing while the friends of our youth are forever young. If anyone is struggling, know I am always here to listen. 🫶 ✌🏻 ♥️

2 years I tweeted that a pub in Motherwell had Pride flags up and got some hate so thought I misinterpreted the flags. Today is Glasgow Pride, bunting up & they’re throwing a Pride party. As a teen working a Saturday job here I felt isolated. For a boozer in a working class town this is progress 🙌🏻

FB memories showing me that it was Alistair’s funeral was 14 years ago today. I had know him since I was 18 but this period without him seems much longer than with him. RIP my friend x
