Musta been enough backlash to make this happen, which makes me happy. It’s still a skip for me, but hopefully if they do another Crazy Taxi AFTER this one, they don’t use genAI from the get-go. I realize there’s not much else they COULD do at this point, so I want to acknowledge/appreciate that!

Btw, if I’m WRONG about this and the new art assets are totally original - not inspired even a little bit by the AI crap, THAT would be great and WOULD satisfy me enough to consider buying it.

So that’s the answer to why it’s still a skip for me, but I definitely wouldn’t begrudge anyone else who wanted to buy it. I appreciate the effort in trying to fix this, and would love for Crazy Taxi to be successful/ a regular thing again!

We had a saying in art school that if the core -the layout, under-drawing, anatomy, etc of what you’re drawing isn’t good, and you just keep on adding fine details and rendering on top of it HOPING to improve it, you’re “polishing a turd” which might be what this feels like to some of those artists.
