Written 🪶 on 25th August, before any of this. The argument was that the road is not where this is decided. 3 court rulings in 13 hours, a determination that expired unexercised, and both sides now in talks having settled nothing. Readers can judge how it has worn.

There has been so much comment on the Gravaghy Road protests being illegal. That call isn't as simple as reading out the relevant bits of the PPA 1998 were a spontaneous and peaceful demonstration is at issue. The counter protesters have Art 11 ECHR rights: hudoc.echr.coe.int/eng?i=001-17...

The FAI repeatedly told us players would be protected. Yet when a 24 year old acted on his conscience, they left him to stand alone & used a vote among his teammates to validate their own cowardice. This isn’t protecting a young player, it’s protecting themselves at his expense. #StopTheGame
