One of the reasons I don't spend much time on this site is that men who are snide about women have too much power over here. On twitter, which is a cesspool in many ways, liberal/left men do stand up for women. No man should call a woman crazy without evidence. It's really wrong.

Exactly. Richard Phelps in his comments makes a similar observation. He likens the obsession with "deeper understanding" to a little kid who keeps asking "why" after every answer you give. While the questions have value at first, after a while there is little to no value added.
