When I knew my job was ending, I was constantly asked, “What’s next? What’s next? What’s next?” Initially I would say, “I don’t know!” Then it moved to, “writing my dissertation.” To finally, “I’m on sabbatical.” It’s allowed for less follow up questions, which I’m enjoying.

I love Danyelle Thomas & look forward to reading this. Her work around deconstruction in Black Church circles and what faith looks like outside off the paradigms/binaries many of us grew up in have been life changing/thought-provoking for me.
