The design of this building is exempt from building modulations, building setbacks, and tower separation rules because it’s made out of mass timber. Questions I have are, doesn’t it look good? If so, why do those rules exist? Do those rules actually make our buildings uglier?

Late out of the gate on this one but GOOD KINGS, BAD KINGS is an outstanding read. Love the multiple POVs and this is such a sharp and damning novel about institutionalization in the United States. (CN for abuse and death in institutional settings)
