I totally agree and find that the perspectives of the donor and his/her family members is often forgotten, although they also may need support in navigating contact with DCPs. In a recent longitudinal study of 191 Swedish oocyte and sperm donors, 59% wanted such support. doi.org/10.1093/humr...

family structure may be the wrong comparison - no significant differences were found. Instead of “Which structure produces more curiosity?” key question might be “Which family environments allow curiosity to be expressed without being interpreted as rejection, disloyalty or a threat to parenthood?”
