The vibes from the show just feel terrible, like the show was written with contempt for the green lantern mythos, and their characters. We never get to see characters or worlds that makes the universe alive just hand waves to them like Mogo or Ch’p.

The whole “do you feel fear” thing to give you the ring feels stupid, cus rings should just detect willpower by default. The villain make no sense to me. The actions the characters take in both eps 5 and 8 pissed me off. The show feels like tv drama slop but with 1 or 2 moments of GL stuff per eps.

Like whenever John or Zoey do…you know what, or when Hal nearly kills John in eps 5 for the most petty reason, or a guardian wants to replace Hal for some reason (GLs die all the time and others get discharged if they royally fucked up, so it makes no sense to me).

The setting of the show, taking place mainly in a small town was a choice (I would have preferred world wide or city at least). The characters were definitely unlikable, not bc of the actors but the story sometimes makes them do the most out of character shit for the sake of drama.
