I think he was forced to come out as Putin's 🫏 👅 because the sanctions in Lindsey Graham's bill were about to go into effect. It would have struck a mortal blow. It is in my view highly doubtful Trump believes he would improve his polling by throwing his weight behind Ukraine. All politics is local.
