Looking at Discord alternatives again. Anyone tried @osmium.chat ? At a glance it looks pretty comparable with Discord but with the bonus of being open and not run by Discord. No idea about long term financial viability. At this stage they have a 'premium' model. Not sure if good or bad though.

What have some of you come up as your discord replacement? Some are using fluxer and some are using stoat, so I just want to gather ideas and thoughts as I'm in the process of providing alternatives to my community. I know discord is still being used by some as well as we all figure this out rn

With Discord's age verification nonsense gradually coming full circle, I wonder what alternatives people would move to, like Root, Stoat, Fluxer or GameVox. None of my Discord accounts appear to have been hit by the age verification yet, but they might in due time.

So what’s the Discord alternative? I’ve heard rumblings about one called “Fluxer”. Any good? Or it is going to come out in six months time that it’s vibe coded AI slop owned by a nazi like everything seems to end up being these days.

Despite me being an adult, my discord account will remain as a teen account because I don't trust age verification. Regardless of what age Discord thinks I am, if anyone can suggest an alternative—one that's available on the iOS app store and has custom servers like discord—you'd have my gratitude.
