This is all to say that "family" is pretty connotative. Maybe someone who headcanons Mob and Reigen to have a father-son dynamic had a very similar upbringing that made that figure appear as a father for THEM. Are you gonna get mad about that too? Lol

Think about it. Why did Mob wander into Reigen's office looking for advice rather than going to his parents? Reigen was the additional authoritative figure Mob needed. How would his parents have known they'd be having a kid with an incomprehensible amount of power?

I've also seen people say that it's ridiculous to call them found family and that doing so is "missing the point". What point? Mob has parents, yes, and I'm not saying they're bad by any means, but they'd likely not understand Mob's struggles with his powers
