And so it was so wonderful to see these people, who had been working on Huntington's their whole careers, weep for joy that someone ELSE HAD DONE IT. They did not care someone else did it first. They cared that it WORKED. They remembered we are all in this together.

It was also so lovely to see, because so often I'll talk to scientists deep in the weeds of their work, embroiled in petty infighting over who is right and who is wrong and who's an asshole. It can be easy to forget in the trenches and funding fights that we do this for people. People suffering.
