In 2007, I saw Dr. Satoh give one of the most memorable talks of my life. I learned for the first time how radical and unexpected development could be: the vertebrate-like swimming larval form of ascidians metamorphosing into a sessile adult, and all the associated GRN transformations. #EvoDevo
