I can handle people doom posting because I understand things are bad, and you might need to let that out of your system. What I can not handle is people doom commenting because it does not help anyone, and I'm going to use my dad's heart attack scare as an example.

That is my mom's recipe almost exactly, except only 3 extra large eggs, and no coconut. Love it.

Some moves are standard by now: toast the walnuts, add a squirt of lemon juice to the icing, substitute 30% of the oil w unsweetened applesauce. Since I couldn't figure out what an "extra-large cake pan" was, I split the batter into 2 9-in pans, cut the baking time to 35 min & made it a layer cake.
