Due to various circumstances, many of them quite tragic, it's been many, many years since we have held a yard haunt. Every time October rolls around, I ache to do it again. It's always been my "thank-you" & "give back" to those childhood Halloweens I cherish. [5 of 5]
Show PostWhen we moved to a new neighborhood / home, the yard haunts continued. And hundreds of more visitors came. I watched children grow up Halloween to the next. Memories were made. Local town newspaper wrote articles about our haunt. [4 of 5]
Show PostI've always been involved in the arts - from theater, to ceramics, and lots in between. The master for Halloween in the USA, for me, became PumpkinRot. If you don't know him and his art, you should. I strived to have our props/sets be as handmade as possible. [3 of 5 ] youtu.be/97zN98yWQxA?...
Show PostIn 2009, with the help of my family, we held our first ever *free* yard haunt at our then home. We ended up with well over 500 visitors & the city cops having to come and direct traffic. To say it was a success doesn't really capture it. My inner-child was beyond thrilled! [2 of 5]
Show PostHalloween has always been my favorite holiday, way before I consciously understood anything within the realm of the occult. As a child of the 70s, I was treated to some amazing Halloween displays in our neighborhood. One was a large "yard-haunt" that was incredible. #SpookySunday [1 of 5]
