Couldn't resist and cracked open a just-carbonated bottle of the imperial stout kit I barrelled/bottled recently. So good: real depth and almost a mushroomy quality alongside the coffee and chocolate flavours. Does not taste like 7.5%. In a tumbler as a reminder of this.
Show PostFinishing up Autumn/Winter beer making today, as my cheapo IPA kit (vastly improved with spraymalt and dry hopping with 50g of Centennial) heads into my second pressure barrel. Along with a PB of strong ale and half a PB of impy stout, that should sort us nicely for beers in the cold months!
