If I'm being quite sincere, Twitch needs to be put in it's place at this point. They are a site of little to no value- they scrape the earnings important people make to shovel shit features to their contracted partners. And flatly I'm at my limit of patience with it
Show PostTwitch creates no value, I create value. Other streamers using the platform do the work, create the value, and provide a purpose to their crumbling website. Realistically something must be done to balance the bargaining power to the people who actually make something worthwhile
Show PostBut at this point who can say. Twitch doesn't seem to truly care and lacks real competition- streamers lack collective bargaining aside from refusal to use the website. However I do think we should be holding the cards, and could be if we tried
