I’m discovering the terroir of Duché d’Uzès, a tiny AOC in the Southern Rhône. A territory trying to find its place in this competitive wine world. Barely known, which could be a strength. From all the wines tasted today, Luke Reynaud’s Cuvée Rubis & Cuvée Pomeyron are above average.

Spent hours yesterday at a book festival and listened to great discussions. A few were about books I had already read. Also got to tell an author, a Black women epidemiologist, how enlightening her book was and thanked her for researching and writing it. Got mine signed. That was hyper-optimised.

Speaking as a prolific reader, this seems weird. I listen to serious book podcasts that feature author interviews with insightful hosts who have read all the things; rest seems like a time sink. #Lit I guess this is when people let platforms and product features define their reading practice.
