Hank, as a Librarian, I love the idea of the Chewy Decimal System, but I would advocate for the Grocer of Congress system, which has a much larger field of potential category headings due to its 1-3 letter + 1-4 number + some decimal systems. Also, don't forget Cutter numbers for brand names!

Noooo not the DDS! You’re gonna need a reference librarian to work at the library to look up call numbers of food. I agree with the principle of standardizing the grocery store, but based on literally anything else. Signed, a Reference Librarian
