In times of peace, Canada has been an extremely peaceful society. In times of war, Canada has been an extremely warlike society. Canada's peacenik reputation is natural for 80 years without a major war. The country is fully capable of being the opposite...and quickly, if circumsrances require.

I suppose as a patriotic American I should be upset that the USA has lost standing in the world. But---since 1/3 of Americans were stupid or mean spirited enough to vote for TRump I think the world is better off without us, at least for a while.
