One time I called my bank and my issue had to involve a manager. When I said my standard joke "I promise I'm not a real Karen", the woman laughed and replied "My daughter said my job is to deal with Karens all day."

Hey everybody, I’m taking the advice of every elected official I’ve ever yelled at who’s said “if you think you could do such a good job why don’t you try running for office”. Schools are super important for all of us, not just those of us with kids in the system, and I’m excited to fight for them.

One of my kids felt like they hadn’t made any friends by the end of last school year. After 2 days of the new school year, they mentioned 3 names and said, “you know, I guess I could pretty much consider them my friends now.” My heart just about burst 😭. But I kept it super chill of course.
