Oof. This is not a pleasant watch. I'm not a coach but I would never find this kind of negativity motivating, from either side. I know parents have tough talks with their kids all the time but publicly comparing results? I don't know if this is how you do it.

Yeah, not pleasant. When you listen to it, it's not shouted or anything, it's just kind of a flat knife to the gut.

I want to be careful here because I don't know anything about Leylah's parents. This might have been a singular fraught moment, or a continuation of a tough talk, or just the way they communicate. But I hope I never talk to someone I love in such a biting way.
