so on that AES video seems pretty clear that the group-chat gotcha was "AES didn't disavow the Muslim Brotherhood" and now somebody in those group chats is doing asscovering because, actually, he did, he just did it real fast before counterpunching and they didn't notice

This is playing out like Eric Schmitt's faceplant in the Jack Smith hearings, where the right has so completely cooked its brains on Twitter and Truth Social that they don't realize how stupid the initial attack sounds but then they don't even realize how badly it's gone over so they double down.

Instead of minimizing these flubs, they dig in and try to make something out of their initial failure. And it just keeps the flub in the news and reminds everyone that they're *all* in the cult, spreading the embarrassment to the rest of them.
