Wikipedia whatever its flaws is the closest that we have to what the early pioneers envisioned the internet would be. It‘s a compendium of knowledge that tries to be objective, is non commercial, doesn’t have ads or tracking etc. The polar opposite of the modern commercial internet.

It will be ten times easier to work to balance out the bias *within* wikipedia than to try to replicate it. It's the cumulative work of a quarter of a million regular contributors over a quarter of a century and to pretend you can just rebuild that is the biggest pile of nonsense I've ever seen.
