There's no rule of law when there's not even the pretense of enforcement by the opposition party. A party that calls the nazis their friends are, themselves, siding with the nazis. The party who doesn't crack down on nazis when they're in power or resist them when the nazis are in power, are nazis.

Because it's not just Trump and it's not just the Republicans. When Jan 6th happened, the next action should have been arresting, trying, and probably hanging most of the people who participated because the penalty for treason of this nature is death and they were openly guilty. Instead, nothing.

The problem is that we have seen that there is no established rule of law and if the Democrats pack the Supreme Court with progressive judges and proceed to overturn every fascist precedent, what you'll have is a secession push from deep red states. Leftists didn't break this place, our pols did.
