Guitarist. Writer. Happily lost in the guitar pedal rabbit hole. I write for PedalPlayers, where I work out what pedals actually do. Oh, and cheese triangles. 🔗 https://pedalplayers.com/authors/gareth/

Is it cultural appropriation?
Show PostFair point. I usually like a “set it and forget it” setup, but there’s some value in doing it that way. I made a temporary expansion board to see if any of the other effects I think I want to use would actually be worth adding. I’ll experiment and see if it’s worth making a larger board 🤷♂️
Show Postanyway if i could build my ideal pedalboard it would probably have these: (perhaps a jhs morning glory?) DOD 250 overdrive proco rat some sort of weird japanese fuzz fulltone deja vibe mkii mxr vintage reissue script phase 90 boss ce-2w? boss dc-2w dimension c waza some kind of flanger maybe?
Show PostTrying to figure out what I want for the upright bass pedalboard. Only have 6 power outlets. If I’m just holding down the low end, octave, dirt, and wah make sense and I can do a fair amount dynamically with them. I’d like chorus, delay/reverb, & maybe an octave up though. 🤔
Show PostI have so many dirt pedals now… need to move onto other things like delay, phaser, reverb
