I was in TX last week, sentenced to watching political ads. The Repubs’ are abhorrent — non-stop anti-trans (with one anti-tax) — which highlight that even they know they have nothing else to sell to voters. It’s important that their tactics fail.

Agreed. Many races are important. And when it comes to voting in Congress, a Senate or House seat from Texas is worth the same as one from anywhere else. But the psychological impact of any Democratic wins in Texas will be larger, especially since Republicans tried so hard to win with bigotry.
