LITTLE SISTER: Starts out winningly, soon devolves, atmosphere spiralling downwards into the vacuum of Melitti's absent performance. Best Actress at Cannes for this? In a jury featuring Binoche, Rohrwacher and Strong? There must literally have been no other actresses in that festival #miff2025

SORRY, BABY: God. Such writing. The jury selection scene, the sandwich scene - I'd give a digit or two to be able to write like that. But if I could, I would hand the script to a filmmaker who could make a movie out of it. And cast someone who'd give a performance worthy of the character #MIFF2025

There’s no question Amanda Kramer’s latest is definitely one of the weirdest films that I’ve seen so far from 2025. While it isn’t 100% successful in what it sets out to do, it’s an enjoyably strange satirical comedy with a unique premise. The cast were all pretty game in their roles. 3/5 #MIFF2025

YOUNG MOTHERS: It's surely every filmmaker's dream to so own a genre that they, themselves, become the genre. The Dardennes have achieved that - but at what cost? Poverty porn so operatic in its reductive cliches that it becomes self-parody, cinema's aesthetic soul the collateral damage #MIFF2025
