Anyone can walk around Pioneer Square and see the 18 intersections that SDOT was trying to add visibility improvements to are still lacking them — and the only reason is because the Pioneer Square Preservation Board blocked them.

It's disappointing, because there is a lot of Seattle history worth celebrating (and also a lot that needs to be somberly remembered), and these efforts are giving historic preservation a bad reputation.
