It’s crazy, there is zero connection between property tax and the loan someone gets to buy a house. They don’t have anything to do with each other. It’s like saying you shouldn’t have to pay for car tags or toll roads because your car is paid off.

You pay property tax because you’re still using the services provided to you by the government those taxes pay for.
