Do you know why non-permanent residents should be treated fairly in Alberta? Not because their work is essential to sustain a healthy economy, nor because their diversity enriches the lives of Albertans. Foreign workers, international students and refugees matter simply because they are people.

As an immigrant, I’m sick and tired of being valued for my “contribution to the economy.” I’m poor. My contribution to the economy is dismal, does that mean that i’m not a valuable member of society?
