I hunt fake history and correct it, but also post amazing real history stuff. Rude, obscene, vulgar, racist people who can't act like grown-ups get blocked. https://linktr.ee/fakehistoryhunter

Show PostI have a beautiful Scottish Celtic knotwork locket in which I keep hair from a lion's mane which I picked up during a guided tour at a zoo in Australia. I have asked that it be buried with me. My brother is an archaeologist.
Show PostA friend had an iguana. The lizard lived a long and happy life but, as with all lives, it ended. They buried her outside their parents cottage (~400 yrs old, very lovely location). Thing is, this is mid Wales. Iguanas have never been native to this area. So a future archaeologist is in for a shock!
Show PostI held this Roman Samian Ware bowl 140-180AD on a volunteer dig near Oxford this week. Best day ever. They probably didn’t think much about it when they last used it …
Show PostThese artifact fragments point to some sort of burial ritual by early Replicants.
