Show PostThese identities are shaped by shared function, rhombomere origin, and developmental time. We perform a cross-species analysis, finding that these identities are conserved between zebrafish and mouse.
Show PostWe find that every cranial motor nucleus has its own transcriptional signature, and in many cases we can resolve functional subtypes within a nucleus. Identity often precedes axon targeting, so these neurons are genetically specified early in development.
