My favorite talk so far at the #IUCr2026 meeting: Ramaswamy (Rams) Subramanian told an amazing story about cockroach milk. It crystallizes in the midgut of the embryos and is time-released as they grow! The proteins are heterogeneous, yet the crystal packing is really tight!

Great to see @dkeedy.bsky.social here representing structural biology along with colleagues from nanoscience to photonics to environmental sciences. Most places this range of science are covered in different departments or schools - wonderful having all of these areas as colleagues under one roof!
