it’s so derivative of most indie platformers that have come out in the last 10+ years, it reminds me of Lords of Shadow in the same way that series copied other games at the time. It feels like history repeating itself, even the way it separates platforming and combat in their own sections

my final thoughts on the new Castlevania is that it’s made specifically for modern Metroidvania fans & it feels insulting to make it the anniversary title, when it’s doing very little to celebrate what was already good about the series. if this released after a legit game I would be less sour
