I think we, collectively, need to stop engaging with people who make AI slop. Those accounts posting "look at my 'Ghibli' art" KNOW that it's going to rile people up. They know it'll get them engagement. They're all blue accs on the bird app, they want your rage. Block them.

I think the wildest thing to me about the lack of commenting is the large overlap between people who don't leave comments on fannish works from their peers and people who find it hard to connect in fandom communities. Do you know how you make friends in fandom? By TALKING TO OTHER PEOPLE.

This is me ranting about someone telling me that my critique of how Baldwin portrays women in Giovanni’s Room is essentially moot because the book is a work of fiction. I loved the book, but please let’s stop putting people on pedestals, we’re all human and imperfect.
