    Today was especially hard because I made the final arrangements for Irv to enter a care centre for dementia patients. I just can’t do it anymore with my liver disease. I am just too weak and limited capabilities. Lots of crying this week and more to come whenever I am discharged from the hospital.

    I’m exhausted. I feel like I’ve been doing nothing but shouting and sounding the alarm for 22 months. But dang, I’m happy. The country got it. The country woke up yesterday. We all can breathe a big sigh of relief. And joy. And then sleep a little.

    Good news is I don’t have cancer. But the liver is not working and is scarred and this is my life now. I may be looking into MAID if it gets too much for me. Drain fluids every 2-3 weeks! No thanks. Irv is with me in the same hospital room. He is here awaiting memory care placement.
