    not sure I agree. They are showing more defensive solidity than last season which was often just them showing up as a gaping chasm through the middle of the park. Surprisingly, I think RDZ is being pragmatic for now. I suppose the question is - will the fans put up with it being this dull?

    I'm not saying they're great (far from it). But they probably do need to be gritty & solid for a while. They need to learn to respect results like that one too (players & fanbase). Everton are a very decent team.
