    It's also interesting how the moral panics about DnD are being repeated by Reich Wing fans nostalgic for older editions of DnD, offended by diversity in Game characters and players in TTRPGs, much less any criticism of Gygax.

    'Close to the end of the essay. Satanic Panic didn't begin or end with controversy over DnD, but it's not hard to see how the legacy of it that's been discussed online for decades also partly explains why people in the West are leaving the pews.
