While some of you mention this in emails, another funding grant like ERC is not a solution for me. I already have secured lots of funding, and it was fun doing so. Another new grant would just secure another 3-5 years of payment, and that’s it. Academia needs jobs, and not more funding options.

I feel sorry for my communities and myself, but my current academic job is ending in a not so far future. 2027 will be my 17th year as a postdoc, and 13th year of being a fixed-term professor.
