Please watch the Emmy award winning documentary The Librarians. And call your reps to push against these federal book banning bills: HR 7661, 2616, and 8705.

    But if you're not in children's literature, you should know that it's scary out here. Librarians, teachers, booksellers, and those who are public facing are being dehumanized and receiving scary threats. The discourse is overblown and at times violent. About kids books.

    If Democrats win a majority, we should take about 30 minutes to celebrate. Then, immediately get up on and in their ass, because from what I’m seeing they seem pretty fine with business as usual, which has failed us, saved them. To that, it’s not about what they do on Day 1, it’s about what we do.
