I try not to read coverage about this site because all the "Bluesky is a bubble!" takes annoy me "it's a liberal/leftist bubble!" oh you mean a place where my friends are, where I face less harassment and threats? rad social media is a place to be social, I want to be social with my friends

The full video they released onto YouTube includes behind-the-scenes footage and it's lovely, although I do agree with the YouTube commentors saying that it does feel almost criminal to watch this for free haha www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTrM...

art for art's sake is amazing and wonderful and part of what makes us human but also I'm a professional bird researcher who thinks about species recovery efforts all the time, yet this art made me unexpectedly weep when a shard of plate with an image of an egg was scared, alone power in real art

In a world of "ask the machine to quickly recreate a facsimile of art if you want to convey your message" I'm especially especially impressed by artists who go the opposite route, of inventing new time-consuming ways to make something you've never considered before. Just gorgeous.
