    🩷being demisexual/romantic has really made it hard to watch some romance subplots in video games. I just don't get it when it's revealed a character has a crush on someone if there isn't anything before that. I just go "so you're only crushing on them cause of superficial shit like their looks."

    Being demisexual is a comfort because it explains why you can't feel attraction after one or two dates, but you will get an intense crush on a random friend But then you have to explain to people that you only think they're hot aesthetically and they really don't like that

    19b) Over time, she figured out she was demisexual, and only experiences attraction to people she forms close connections with. With Estinien, it was more curiosity about WHY he was so grumpy and mysterious, rather than a crush, and was determined to be his friend (much to his annoyance)
