Postu gösterHaving gotten as far as the gain-entrance-to-you-know-what quest, my initial impression of "Belmont's Curse" is... hm. It feels like it has a bit of an identity crisis – like it can't decide whether it's trying to be a new-school metroidvania or a semi-linear precision platformer. (1/2)
Postu göster(2/2) It's more linear than one would like for the former, but if it wants to be the latter it's WAY too hesitant about throwing the real sicko shit at the player. I'm kind of hoping this is a symptom of the pre-you-know-what portion of the game essentially being an extended tutorial!
Postu göster(I will say the brief segments where the precision platforming DOES throw the real sicko shit at you have been promising thus far, though; momentum-preserving-grapple-plus-selectively-tangible-platforms is a combo I haven't seen before, and I'd love to see how toxic they're prepared to get with it.)
