📣 Our Oxford Astrophysics call for PhD (DPhil) students is now open! 📣I’ll be hiring in exoplanets along with several other profs. Topics span observations, instrumentation, and theory. Join us, apply by Jan 6th! www.physics.ox.ac.uk/study/postgr...
Postu gösterIt's (belated) paper day! Emeline Fromont (Ph.D student @umdscience.bsky.social) simulated the atmospheric dynamics and cloud microphysics of WASP-43b, finding that nightside-only clouds provide a good fit to both the HST and MIRI spectra as well as the MIRI phase curve: arxiv.org/abs/2610.30243.
Postu gösterFinally finished the slides for my plenary talk at DPS on Thursday, although I'm thinking I should use the vintage LPL logo. This composite is probably my favorite mission image as it captures so many of the processes I study and will talk about.
Postu gösterCongrats to LPL Associate Professor Kris Klein! 🎉
Postu gösterI was invited to write a short article for the @leverhulme.ac.uk newsletter out this month, and excitingly it was chosen to feature on the cover! Read about our work on exoplanet atmospheres and why clouds are kind of great, actually #WorldSpaceWeek 🪐🔭
