It's telling people they can no longer live the life they used to be able to afford. It's telling people they need to accept poverty. And telling people that does not typically go well.

But I've been to enough Kennedy reunions to have looked around at the people who didn't slip through the cracks, and they are a depressing (and depressed) bunch of people. I have more joy and happiness in my life than I would wager a solid 80% of them.
