I was a fan of Alan's; I bought one of his books. But he destroyed his credibility with me when he refused to acknowledge the threat from postmodernism. Those who failed to do due diligence on Jason Arday are responsible for Arday's fate & for gifting a propaganda bonanza to the right.
Postu gösterOk, here are 2 examples of this "non-story". A claim of running 600 miles in 6 days equivalent to 4 marathons each day (say 5 hours per marathon is 20 hours/day running). A paragraph of the material published by Arday, (it is not just his thesis). Hard to defend; fantasy and plagiarism.
Postu gösterAgain, if it was a student’s work this would still be a major issue. It was enough of an issue for editors to ask for article re-writes. It is obviously a hit job, but there may also be a genuine issue of academic integrity - the two things aren’t mutually exclusive
